The car producer of Pegueot has had some track record of big and quite sporty cars which have been, for some reason, a little ignored all across the United Kingdom. Luckily, the used Peugeot 607 did not meet this fate. The vehicle is in many ways of the old school of Gallic luxobarges. At the same time it is quick, well equipped and cosseting. Equipped with a whole variety of powerful engines, the used Peugeot 607 offers many practical variants. The early models got a 2.2 litre petrol engine capable of providing a horsepower of 160. The range topper received a mighty 3.0 litre V6 petrol unit delivering 210 BHP. There was also a range of diesel engines available, initially with a 2.2 litre power plant producing some 130 BHP, and other variants offered later. The car interior looks stunning indeed. The cabin is spacious and shows real class. The driver and passenger are separated by a centrally-located main console which houses all controls for the standard climate control system, the audio controls and the optional satellite navigation or TV set. The overall quality of interior is astonishing and the ambience is very impressive. The used Peugeot 607 offers a lot of assistance to the driver. There is a tyre pressure monitor for each wheel, park-assistance radar system and automatically illuminating side lights that are all in place ready for use at any time. Moreover, there are many onboard systems in operation- the Electronic Stability Program, ASR skid control system and REF. On the road, the car’s performance is just outstanding. The 607 can provide soft sporting drive. The acceleration from zero to sixty miles per hour takes only an impressive 10.5 seconds, which is a very good result taking into consideration the size of car. The fuel economy shows decent figures as well. Despite the fact that it cannot be compared to BMW standards for the market segment, it will not kill anyone’s wallet and environment tax should not be high. The costs of replacement and repairs can also be described as reasonable. The used Peugeot 607 can be seen as an excellent car- probably the best in its class in terms of value for money, especially if one is on the lookout for a vehicle offering nice performance even with high mileage.
