Those who have already seen the model will probably say that the company would like to break free from the mainstream and become more up-market with the latest new Honda Accord. The car is intended to separate a little bit from the not-always-successful history of previous Accord models. It comes equipped with all-new diesel engines called i-DTEC generating nearly 150 BHP. The new diesel power plants can boast of low carbon dioxide emissions and outstanding fuel economy. Drivers used to petrol units can choose a 2.0 litre i-VTEC engine producing a horsepower of 155 or a 2.4-litre i-VTEC engine capable of providing 298 BHP. Both petrol units have had good deal of revision which results in good timing and better gas flow. The styling of the new Honda Accord is nice and quite eye-catching although not shocking. It has got a V-shaped front which gives the bodywork a little bit striking, edgier and more dynamic look. Those knowing previous models well would probably say that the latest model shares some styling cues with its predecessors. The cabin has been improved a lot comparing to old version. There is more space and comfort. The dashboard gives the interior, (its front part to be exact) a special character. It extends from the centre console to sweep round the font seats. The cabin has also many clever storage solutions which include a lidded storage area beside the steering wheel, two centre console side pockets and one big box placed under the centre armrest. The equipment levels are just fair with 6 CD stereo, electric and heated front seats and DVD and satellite navigation. As it could be expected of Honda, safety for the new Accord is set at high as well. All people on board are protected by twin front, side and curtain airbags. Additionally a host of systems is in action to ensure safe journey- the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and the Advanced Cruise Control just to give an example. All in all, the used Honda Accord is an advanced hi-tech car for people who value safety and comfort of journey and like to have a nice driving experience at the same time.
